Events Return to Summit County

Our historic county is filled with year-round fun and entertainment every week including festivals, live music events, farmer’s markets, and more. Now that things are starting to return to normal, Summit County’s summer events are ramping back up. Luckily, there are so many opportunities for excitement that you can join in or simply attend all around Summit County!

Dillon Amphitheater
Growing up, I always enjoyed seeking out opportunities to hear live music. The recently renovated Dillon Amphitheater is one of my favorite spots for live entertainment during the summer. The amphitheater offers paid concerts, free concerts, and even a “Movies on the Water” series. The venue is consistently full at every event they host during the summer months, which is a fun way to get out with your friends and family and take advantage of the few months of warmer temperatures! Don’t forget to check out the famous Dillon Farmer’s Market right by the Amphitheater every Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from June to September.

Keystone’s Warren Station
Tucked away in Keystone is the Warren Station. This event venue hosts everything from weddings and large group events to concerts and speaker series. The venue also sponsors a number of great weekend festivals such as the famous Wine and Jazz Festival In July and the Bluegrass and Beer Festival in August. They also host a free live acoustic session with local artists from throughout the county in the heart of River Run every Friday in the summer.

Town of Frisco
What once was a sleepy little mountain town is now one of the most popular stops in Summit County. The Town of Frisco offers fun events for everyone from athletic events, festivals, yoga, delicious food, live music. The Frisco Adventure Park also provides plenty of ways for the whole family to enjoy the mountain life, including disc golf, biking, and skateboarding in the summer. (And don’t forget to come back in the winter to check out the snow tubing and the beginner’s ski hill in the winter!) On Thursday evenings be sure to catch the free concerts in the park right off of Main Street, and then start your Friday and Saturdays off with 7:30 a.m. yoga at the Marina.

Town of Breckenridge
The historic and beautiful town of Breckenridge possibly has the widest variety of events for people to choose from! There are lots of festivals that take place every year, including the Wave: Light+Water+Sound art installation festival, the Gold Panning Championships, the annual Independence Day Celebration, the Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival, The Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival, the Breckenridge Hogfest: Bacon and Bourbon, and don’t forget to close out your summer with Labor Day events! The art community in Breckenridge is thriving and also offers concerts and performances, historical tours and museums, Breckenridge Backstage Theatre productions, and plenty of galleries in the Arts District. If the festivals, delicious food, and expansive shopping aren’t enough for you, check out the endless outdoorsy activities in the area, including hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, fly fishing, golfing, paddleboarding and kayaking, horseback riding, ziplining, and summer dog sledding!

Silverthorne
Silverthorne, Colorado is also having a busy summer! Their First Friday events that happen all year long are attracting great music, local artists, and vendors for a summer packed with variety and fun, all with the backdrop of the Gore Mountain Range. Also back on the calendar this summer are two products from the Lake Dillon Theatre company, taking the stage outside all summer long. We also can't wait for the opening of the Blue Bird Market on Hwy 9.
