Fall in Summit County is Coming

FALL!!  This is one of our favorite times of year in Colorado’s High Country!  Spectacular colors abound throughout Summit County as well as other mountain locations.

Escape the heat and venture into the mountains where you will find the colors at their peak in Silverthorne, Dillon, Frisco, & Breckenridge from September 17th – October 1st.

If you are looking for a drive that will show the leaves in all their glory in Summit County, Colorado, we recommend the following:

  • Ute Pass – looking back at the Gore Range
  • Boreas Pass Road above Breckenridge
  • Hoosier Pass between Breckenridge and Alma
  • Guanella Pass – and absolutely gorgeous drive.  Not in Summit County, but just outside Georgetown in neighboring Clear Creek County.

Of course, don’t stop there.  If you are looking for a true adventure, leave Summit County and head over Fremont Pass to Leadville and continue south on Highway 24 until you come to Highway 82 (Twin Lakes).  That road will take you over Independence Pass and into Aspen. You will not be disappointed.

Of course, we are able to enjoy the beautiful fall colors just outside our office with a stroll along the Blue River:
