Greetings to each and everyone of you;
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we here at Nelson Walley Real Estate find ourselves reflecting on the true meaning of the season - gratitude. Not just the fleeting kind we might express over a large meal but the deep, unwavering appreciation that carries us through the highs and lows of this life we all share. We are grateful for you, our clients, for helping our Summit County shine and boom and we thank you all for allowing us to represent our neighborhoods and towns with pride and professionalism. Together, we sell a unique dream that comes with calling our area home, and it is a privilege to keep that dream alive with you. So with that being said lets read what each individual team member is grateful for…
“ I am thankful to live and work in a place where many come to vacation! I am grateful to be able to pursue passions and hobbies that the mountains allow me to do. I am thankful to have family and close friends living close to share those mountain experiences and hobbies with. I am thankful for a healthy life and family, and look forward to what the next year brings! ”

“ I’m grateful for my health, which enables me to enjoy the people I love around me, both personally and professionally. I’m grateful for having had an amazing mother-in-law for 14 years, whom we sadly lost this summer. I’m grateful that I still have both of my parents, and I am taking every chance I can get to spend time with them. I’m grateful for my amazing husband who has been the best caregiver to me during a few serious health challenges I had earlier this year. I’m also grateful to have my incredible business partner Debbie, and our fantastic team members Marco and Tyler. Those three have gone the extra mile time and time again to keep Nelson Walley’s business thriving while I’ve been away. The world is good. We can’t ever forget to stop looking for goodness, embracing it, and celebrating it. That sure is a lot more fun than anything else I can think of! “

“ I am thankful for all of the growth, good health and new friendships that 2024 has brought into my life, as 2022 & 2023 posed some major health challenges for me. I am thankful to have the opportunity to live and further my Real Estate Career in Breckenridge, with the most supportive managing broker I have ever worked with, Debbie Nelson! I am also thankful that Ned Walley has always believed in me as a true Real Estate professional. Of course I am beyond grateful to have a very supportive partner, one who always encourages me to go after my dreams relentlessly.

“When I think of Thanksgiving, I immediately go back to my childhood where every Thanksgiving was hosted at my Great Aunt Maye's house in Alma, Nebraska. It was a small 2-bedroom home where somehow hoards of people were able to gather. There was never any mention of how crowded it was, or that the "kids' table" was on top of the guest bed - we were just happy to gather as a family. So - I'll start there. I am so grateful for my family - which grew larger this year with the addition of our daughter-in-law. As I drive to work each day, I drive by Lake Dillon with an amazing view of Buffalo Mountain. I will forever be grateful that my husband and I (with 2 small children in tow) made a huge leap of faith and left our corporate jobs 25 years ago to make a home for ourselves in Colorado's beautiful High Country. This year we will gather on Thanksgiving Day with FRAMILY (aka Friends who have become Family). When you live miles away from actual family members, you create your own family with people who might as well be your sisters and brothers....because they are with you through the best and worst of times and never leave your side. And finally, I am so very thankful for my FAITH in God....Family, Friends, and the beautiful place that we live would not be possible without God's blessings and for that, I will be eternally grateful.”
-Debbie Nelson.
So whether you plan to gather with your friends and family this holiday, or choose to celebrate the day in relaxing solitude, I hope you feel the immense pride and gratitude we have for being in this business with us, as your trusted Summit County Real Estate Brokerage. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us to you. May it be filled with good health and a positive outlook.
With heartfelt thanks and warm wishes,
