My name is Tyler Nelson, a buyer’s and seller’s broker for Nelson Walley Real Estate. I grew up in the real estate industry in Summit County, with my mom, Debbie, beginning to sell while I was young. She would put me to work addressing “Just Listed” and “Market Update” post cards she would send to potential clients. After graduating from college, I moved back home from the mountains, and gained my real estate license. Since 2017, I have been helping buyers and sellers with their real estate goals, sharing my knowledge of both the market and Summit County.
In addition to assisting buyers and sellers with their real estate needs, I also work as a firefighter for the local fire department, Summit Fire & EMS. I began this journey of my career while in college, volunteering for a front range department while attending school, attending fire academy and gaining my EMT certification. Once I graduated college, I moved back home and continued pursuing my desire to work in the fire service, and was hired onto the department in the Summer of 2018. I currently work out of the Frisco station as a Lieutenant on the truck.
People come to and stay in the mountains for the outdoors and I am no different. When I am not in the office or at the fire house, chances are good that you would find me out fishing, hunting or camping. One of my passions is ice fishing, which I do every chance I get during the winter months. Looking to expand this passion of mine, I will begin guiding ice fishing trips on Lake Dillon for Mountain Angler out of Breckenridge this coming Winter. I hope this next step in my hobby will help me share it with others and allow others to experience a cold Winter’s day out on the ice!
I have called Summit County home since my family moved to the mountains in 1999, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge of both the local market and area to those looking to find the same mountain living I have grown to love.
