Summit County Continues to Break Sales Records amid Covid-19

Urban Exodus.  It's a new buzz-phrase - and it is a real thing.  Just ask a Summit County realtor!  We are experiencing sales like never before.  People are leaving the cities and heading to the hills.  With COVID-19 lockdowns, employers had to let their employees work from home.  It was an experiment that proved to be more productive than employers anticipated.  The result found employees wanting to live where they play!  Why not have their primary home in the mountains and buy a condo in the city where they have to go to the office a couple of days a week or month?  Stop fighting traffic on the weekends!!

Until August 2020, Summit County has never gone over $250,000,000 in gross sales volume for 1 month.  This year we have exceeded that number in August ($293,252,195), September ($344,080,274), and now October ($360,036,310).  In the past 10 months, we have had 2,123 transactions with  $1,726,919,986 in total sales volume.  If the trend continues, we will most likely exceed $2,000,000,000 (that's Two Billion) in total sales in Summit County.
